Rene R. “Rusty” Chartier, 49, of MassenaMassena – Mr. Rene R. “Rusty” Chartier, 49, of 225 East Orvis Street, unexpectedly passed away Sunday morning, February 3, 2013 at his home. Rusty was born December 7, 1963 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, the son of Rene L. and Therese Brunelle Chartier. He graduated from Mohave High School in California and attended Clinton Community College. He worked for many years as an attendant at Albany Medical Center before moving to Massena, where he worked for a time at Laneuville’s Grocery Store. He enjoyed playing video games and watching football. He is survived by his companion of 13 years, Randy Stewart; his mother and stepfather, Therese and Ivan Mitchell of Davenport, Florida; and three brothers, Michael, Mark, and Richard Chartier, all of Florida. He was predeceased by his father. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Arrangements are with the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where memories and condolences may be shared online at www.donaldsonfh.com.
