A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert E. Yott, 88, of Cape Vincent, will be held on Tuesday January 7,  2013 at St. Vincent of Paul Catholic Church in Cape Vincent with Rev. Pierre Aubin as celebrant. There will be no public visitation. Burial will be in the spring at St. Vincent of Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, with full military honors.

Mr. Yott died on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cleveland Funeral Home, Cape Vincent.

Robert E. Yott was born on October 17, 1925 in Cape Vincent, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Katherine (McKenna) Yott.  He served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II and the Korean Conflict.

He went on to become a machinist, working for Davenport Machine and Tool in Rochester, NY.

He was a communicant of St. Vincent of Paul Church in Cape Vincent as well as a member of the V.F.W. Post 1400 in Watertown.

He is survived by two sons, Brian Yott and his wife Joan of Wayland, NY and Gregory Yott of Fishers, NY. He is also survived by two daughters, Anita M. Yott of Raleigh, NC and Diana Schneider and her husband Kevin of Honeoye Falls, NY.

He is also survived by three grandchildren, Joshua Rossmann and Paris and Savannah Yott. He is survived by two sisters, Eileen Docteur of Chaumont and Lillian Mason of Cape Vincent. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceasaed by his brothers, Bernard,Victor, and Howard Yott  and his sisters, Francis Champagne, Agnes Hulton, Katherine White, Gladys Docteur and Edith Knapp.
