Terry “Mash” Mashaw, age 70, of Judson Street, Ogdensburg and Largo, FL, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Largo Medical Center with his wife by his side.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating.  Arrangements remain under the direction of Frary Funeral Home, 515 Caroline Street.

He is survived by his wife, Linda and step-son, Paul Bartman; a son, Mark Mashaw and his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Lori Pearson and Tammy Bush; two brothers, Ronnie Mashaw and his wife, Nancy and Randy Mashaw and his wife, Terilyn; four sisters, Judy and her husband, Ed Wicks, Cindy and her husband, Willie Moore, Diane and her husband, Tim Boyer, and Debbie Mashaw; six grandchildren, Kyle, Justin, Zachary, April, Grace and Claire and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Emery and Josephine; infant brother, Edward; his sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Roosevelt Powell and step-father, James Galvin.

Terry was born on September 8, 1943, the son of Emery and Josephine (Sovie) Mashaw. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. He was previously married to Joan Jenkins. Terry was employed with the Sheriff’s Department for a short time and later with Niagara Mohawk retiring several years ago.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, going to casinos, spending time at his camp in Black Lake, the St. Lawrence River and spending time at the local pubs with many friends.
