Thomas E. Hawthorne, 69, of Harrisville
Harrisville - Thomas E. Hawthorne, 69, Maple Street, died Saturday morning at his home.
A prayer service will be held at Thursday November 21st at 10 AM at the Adirondack Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
A luncheon will follow immediately after the funeral.
His committal service will be held at 3pm at St Patrick’s Cemetery in Rossie. Calling hours will be held Wednesday at the funeral home from 5-8 pm.
A vigil service will be held at 8 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adirondack Funeral Home, Harrisville.

Tom was born in Saratoga Springs June 17, 1944 to John and Loretta Henderer Hawthorne. He graduated from Morristown Central School in 1962.
He married Carol Phalen October 7, 1967 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Rossie with Rev. Kevin Conners and Daniel O’Keefe officiating.
He was employed by the New York State Department of Transportation for 32 years, retiring in 2003 as a Snow and Ice Supervisor and Paving Inspector.
He served on the Pastoral Council, the finance committee and the cemetery committee at St Francis Solonus Church, was a life member of Carthage Elks BPOE 1762, a member of the Harrisville Fire Department and was a former board member of Harris Courts.He enjoyed helping the elderly, playing poker with friends and spending time with loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; three children, Michael J., Watertown, Daniel T. (Amy), Colorado, and Debbie L. (Shayne) Atkinson, Germany. He has six grandchildren, Chelsea, Thomas, Christen and Ashley Hawthorne and Emily and Matthew Atkinson.
He also has three sisters and two brothers, Mary Ellen (Larry) Mace, Elaine ( Ray) Langtry, Kathy (Peter) Hunter, Robert (Joan) Hawthorne and Douglas (Dorothy) Hawthorne; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is predeceased by his parents and two brothers, John J. Jr, and William.
