Funeral services for William C. Conliffe, age 93, of Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday (Sept 21, 2013) at 3:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Ogdensburg with Rev. Laurena Will officiating.

His place of rest will be at Foxwood Memorial Park.

 
Calling hours will also be held on Saturday from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at the church.
 
Mr. Conliffe passed away Wednesday (Sept 11, 2013) at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility.
 
Surviving is Eleanor, his wife of 53 years; a daughter, Karen Percy & her husband Duane Cruttenden of Sebring, FL; sisters Isabel Dufore of Oswego, NY and Margaret Turnbull of Port Richey, FL; grandchildren James Percy & his wife Caroline of Jacksonville, FL, Brett Percy of Harleysville, PA, Meredith Booz & her husband Robert of Lansdale, PA & Jonathan Percy & his wife Michelle of Greensburg, PA; great-grandchildren Katherine Booz, Sarah Booz & Thomas Percy and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
 
Two sisters, Dorothy Whiston & Evelyn (Peggy) Pelletier, predeceased him.
 
Bill was born on July 20, 1920 in Aultsville, Ontario Canada, a son of the late William & Evelyn (Clark) Conliffe.
 
He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and entered the US Army Air Corp during WWII and served in Central Burma as a Med Tech. He also received The American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal & the World War II Victory Medal during his enlistment. 
 
He worked at Diamond National and General Motors as a millwright during his career, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ogdensburg where he also served as a deacon for many years.
 
He was an active bowler in the Ogdensburg Bowling League and received several trophies for his ability. He was a longtime blood donor, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, enjoyed his pets and was a very hard worker throughout his lifetime.
