Event Description

Don’t let the winter doldrums keep you and your children away from seeing magician Ran’d Shine at Jefferson Community College (JCC) Tuesday, February 16th at 12:30 p.m. in the Robert R. and Jean S. Sturtz Theater. All ages are welcome, however second grade and older are recommended.

Ran’d Shine, known as the new face of magic, will use unforeseen elements to take the audience on a trip to explore what diversity really means. This hilarious and entertaining magic show is based on Shine’s belief that magic, although seen with your eyes, actually happens in your head. Shine will have spectators’ eyes popping and jaws dropping, but more importantly, seeing things from a different angle.

Shine is a performer, producer and educator. He performed at the 2009 Presidential inauguration; Monday Night Magic- New York’s longest running off Broadway magic show and at the world’s famous Hollywood Magic Castle. Shine has produced many magic shows including Parallax, Collaboration, How to Write a Magic Show in a Week for the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and most notably, Heart and Soul of Magic- the first magic show in history to feature an all African American cast of magicians. Additionally, Shine teaches and lectures on the art of magic.

Tickets are $5 general admission and may be purchased at the JCC Student Activities Center, Room 4-100, McVean Student Center, or by calling 315-786-2431. Advance ticket sales are recommended.

Media sponsorship is provided by WWNY 7News.
