Monday afternoon – and yes there is stuff to do!

First of all, it’s not too late to see, Of Mice and Men, the stage adaptation of Nobel Prize winning John Steinbeck’s classic at OGP (Ogdensburg Command Performance) at 7:45pm at OFA in Ogdensburg. For Information call 315-393-2625 or log on here.

Okay millions of people saw “2012” over the weekend and it seems action packed but long and not especially resonant. Check out the review here on Craig’s To Do List by chief movie critic, BJ Clary. My own disaster movie fetish aside, I was most interested in the song track that Adam Lambert sings. I think it must be in the final credits, because a colleague of mine saw it and can’t recall hearing Adam during the movie. Rumor has also it that Adam can be heard singing on the movie trailer.

Which reminds me, (as everything does) I can’t wait for the new season of American Idol, even though I will miss Paul Abdul.

Tomorrow night, Tuesday November 17th is the first night of the Cape Vincent Film Festival. 7pm and runs every two weeks – that is every other Tuesday.
First film will be: Married Life (2007) PG-13, starring Pierce Brosnan and Chris Cooper. This marks the 6th year for the film series which has brought a wide variety of independent and foreign films to the public through the sponsorship of the Cape Vincent Community Library.

The Series has a new home this year as all the films will be shown in the meeting room of the library located at 157 N. Real Street in the Cape. There will be no admission charged, however donations to the library are always appreciated.
Due to the subject matter and ratings of the movies, this is an adults only event. A list of all the upcoming films and dates is available at the library or may be requested online at cavlib13618@gmail.com. Come in from the cold and partake of this delightful winter event being held at your public library!
Also tomorrow night, if you are writer looking for encouragement and inspiration, check out this new writer’s group that meets every other month- all genre of writers are welcome.
