This week's Academic All-Star is Marissa Bacon.

She is from Hermon-Dekalb Central School, where she's ranked first in her class and maintains a grade point average of 93.

Marissa is involved in a number of extra curricular activities at her school.

She has participated in Whiz Quiz, swimming, cheerleading and softball.

Marissa plans to attend SUNY Oswego to major in elementary education.
