Blast From The Past: 1973 Memories Of Hotel Woodruff


The Hotel Woodruff in downtown Watertown has been gone for nearly four decades.

But during its heyday, it was the place to stay if you were visiting the city.

It stood guard over Public Square for 125 years before it was torn down in the mid 1970's. 

Back in 1973, longtime hotel manager John Russell shared hotel memories with former WWNY-TV news director Bob Tompkins.
