TV Dinner: Angels On HorsebackYou can't go wrong with this one. Chef Chris Manning combines bacon and shrimp for a dish called Angels on Horseback. This would make a good appetizer for the Super Bowl or anytime. Serve over rice or pasta for a main dish. The recipe's below. Click on the picture for some tips from the chef and to see how it goes together.
8 pieces of 12-15 size shrimp, peeled and de-veined Slit shrimp lengthwise, but not in half, to make a pocket. Fill the pocket with 1 teaspoon of the horseradish. Wind a piece of bacon around each of the shrimp. Place on a cooking rack and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. The bacon should be browned and the shrimp cooked through. Mix together the mayonnaise, sour cream and dill. Season with salt and pepper and use as a dipping sauce for the shrimp. Most Popular |
