TV Dinner: Apple Brownies

Tools

Chef Chris Manning introduces us to a great dessert: apple brownies.

It's an easy recipe, perfect for when you try to squeeze in an extra weekend of camping before the kids start school.

Apple Brownies

- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1-1/4 cups vegetable oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups flour
- 3 cups chopped apples
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Mix the first eight ingredients together in a large bowl. Add the flour and stir until mixture forms a smooth batter. Fold in the apples and walnuts.

Bake in greased 9" x 13" pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Pairs well with Coyote Moon's River Run rosé.
