It's dessert for two with Apple Charlotte.
Chef Chris Manning says this pastry is like "when apple crisp meets apple pie."

Check out the recipe below.
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, etc.)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 4 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 2 9-inch pie crusts
-1 egg, beaten
Lay the two crusts flat on a floured surface. Mix together the butter, sugar, cinnamon, fruits and nuts. Place half the mixture in the center of each crust. Divide the sliced apples in half and place on top of the mixture.
Fold all four sides on top of the apples. Place seam side down on a non-stick cookie sheet. Brush top with the egg.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until golden brown.
Serve with ice cream and a drizzle of maple syrup.
