TV Dinner: Chili, Wings & Pizza


In honor of Saturday's Chili Cook-Off in Watertown, Chef Chris Manning stirs up a pot of white bean chili.

And, with the Super Bowl coming up, he also shows us how to make maple garlic chicken wings and buffalo chicken pizza.

He even has a little something in honor of Mardi Gras.

The chili recipe is below.

White Bean Chili

2 strips of bacon, diced finely
Quarter cup diced red onion
Quarter cup diced green onion
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 large tomato, diced
1 tablespoon pickled jalapenos, minced
Half pound cooked, diced chicken breast
Half pound cooked, diced Italian sausage
1 15-ounce can chicken broth
2 15-ounce cans of Great Northern beans (juice and all)
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Juice of 1 lemon

Heat a four-quart stock pot to medium heat. Add the bacon and cook until browned. Add the next five ingredients and cook until onions begin to wilt.

Turn the heat to low and add the remaining ingredients. Simmer for an hour and a half, stirring every 10 to 15 minutes.
