TV Dinner: Sweet Chili Maple Sauce

It's a sweet and spicy Asian-style sauce that Chef Chris Manning puts together with peppers and maple syrup.

Manning says it can be used as a glaze or a marinade.

Sweet Chili Maple Sauce

2 cups maple syrup
3 tablespoons crushed red pepper
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
3 tablespoons dry sherry
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
3 cloves garlic, minced

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and simmer on low heat until sauce begins to thicken.

Use as a glaze for chicken or pork. Pairs well with Coyote Moon Vineyard's Frontenac Gris.
