Along the River's Edge
Along the River’s Edge Art Show & Sale and 321 James Street Opening On Friday, June 21, 2013 from 5:00-7:00PM the Thousand Islands Arts Center will hold an opening reception for Along the River’s Edge Art Show & Sale and the opening of 321 James Street. Along the River’s Edge is an annual juried show celebrating the work of artists who find their inspiration along the St. Lawrence River and other river regions. Along the River’s Edge will be on display in the Arts Center galleries (314 John Street in Clayton) from June 21 – July 29, 2013. All artwork is for sale with proceeds benefiting the Arts Center and local River Artists. 321 James Street (formerly the Arts Center Store) is the retail venue and welcome center for the Arts Center Campus and will be open 6 days per week throughout the summer season. While viewing the exhibition and store, enjoy light hors d'oeuvres provided by the Clipper Inn. The Arts Center is open Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. The Thousand Islands Arts Center is home to a nationally renowned collection of handweaving and textiles, and offers a wide variety of classes for both children and adults in pottery, fiber arts, jewelry making, drawing, writing, painting and photography, all year round.
