Book Signing in Cape Vincent

 WHAT: Author Thomas Fitzgerald will host readings and discussions of his new book, “Poor Richard’s Lament: A Most Timely Tale,” published by Hobblebush Books (615 pages; $30, hardcover; $12.99 for Kindle edition).


The book is available through online bookstores such as amazon.com or through the publisher at webpages.charter.net/hobblebush/


WHEN/WHERE: 1 to 3 p.m. July 12, Cape Vincent Community Library, 157 N. Real St. The author will also appear at the Cape Vincent Art Council’s Breakwater Gallery, 371 Club St., from 5 to 7 p.m. July 12 at a public wine and cheese party. There is no fee for the program, which is hosted by the council and Poets and Writers, Ink.


OF NOTE: Appearing with Mr. Fitzgerald at both events will be his son, Matthew, the author of 19 books, including, most recently, “Iron War: Dave Scott, Mark Allen, & the Greatest Race Ever Run,” published by Velo Press.
