Footloose – comes to Watertown –

The Fantastic Music Department of Watertown High School brings the 80’s classic to life.  Everyone knows WHS’s reputation for putting on professional musical shows, well this time they are tackling the Kevin Bacon classic that has the great tunes:  The title song, “Let’s Hear it For the Boy” and “Holding out for a Hero” – these tunes helped define the mid-eighties.  Kevin Bacon became a star because of this hit—a movie that was never expected to be a hit.

Footloose will be bringing down the house Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec 9-11 at the WHS auditorium, 1335 Washington Street.

On Thursday, December 09, 2010 there will be a special free matinee for seniors with dinner following- this is for seniors in the Watertown Central School District with the kids serving meals – for information call 785-3700.

General show tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors and can be purchased at the door or at Big M on Washington Street.

Show times are 7:30 pm.-

“I've Been Working So Hard
I'm punching my card
Eight hours. For what?
Oh, tell me what I got
I've got this feeling
That time's just holding me down
I'll hit the ceiling
Or else I'll tear up this town
Tonight I gotta cut

Loose, footloose
lyrics by Dean Pitchford and Kenny Loggins
