Carthage Free Library and Carthage Federal Savings and Loan are co-sponsoring a wine tasting and art show to benefit the Library on Wednesday, May 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
     The event will be held at Carthage Free Library, 412 Budd St in Carthage. Artwork created by students in the Library’s Fine Art classes will be featured. Local vineyards will offer samples of their wines, including Tug Hill Vineyards, Coyote Moon Vineyards and Venditti Vineyards. The wineries will also have bottled wines for sale. Burnham’s Maple Products will be on hand with maple popcorn. Light refreshments will be offered and acoustic music by Gary Walts.
     There will be a raffle of items donated by Friends of Carthage Free Library and local businesses, including baskets of books, a wine and chocolate basket, hand crafted doll clothes, a hand crafted folding chair, art prints and more.
      Suggested donations at the door are $10 per person or $15 per couple.
