Indian River presents: 

“Once On This Island”

 Once On This Island, an enchanting musical fable, adapted from The Little Mermaid, tells the story of forbidden love between people from two different worlds. This Broadway show transports the story to a Caribbean island where social prejudice divides the island. Presented as a 'play within a play', a cast of village storytellers, attempting to calm a frightened young child, tell the romantic tale of a peasant girl who saves a rich city boy from death.

This production stars Misty Brown as “Ti Moune”, Xavier Ehresman as “Daniel”, Abby Widrick as “Mama”, Hura Minger as “Tonton”, Joanna Hecker as “Asaka”, Nikki Marshall as “Erzulie”, Noah LaClair as “Papa Ge”, and Sophia Russell as “Little Ti Moune”.

Indian River High School will present:  “Once On This Island” at the Indian River Theatre of the Performing Arts on Friday, March 21st at 7 PM, and on Saturday, March 22nd, at 2 PM and 7 PM.  Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased from any cast member, at the door, by calling Mr. Heck at
