J-LO "I Quit!" - Steven Tyler "I Quit Too!"

J-LO and TYLER both say bye-bye to American Idol.

Is it a case of a sinking ship?  Take the money and run? Or is actually true, what their respective manicured press releases say, that they both want to do other things?

 In any event, it isn’t a big surprise.  Although I will miss both Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, American Idol needs a reboot, for sure.  It was predictable and shallow last year.

 Now if they only could get rid of Randy Jackson, we could start all over again and the most popular show on television could be fun again.

 The Hollywood rumor mill has been spinning ever since the two megastars announced their exits, one day apart last week.

 Miley Cyrus was mentioned as a possible replacement, in an effort to keep the young viewers and at the other end of the spectrum, the Queen of Soul was rumored to have said she wanted to do it.  But is Aretha Franklin too much a Diva?
