Lucky Seven Lecture Series is Back at NCAC
2013 "LUCKY SEVEN" LECTURE SERIES
"THE ART OF CRITIQUE AND MIND MAPPING"

The North Country Arts Council will kick-off its 2013 "Lucky Seven" lecture series with "The Art of Critique and Mind Mapping," a presentation by Educational Consultant Mary Ellen Kalil Shevalier.
In this presentation, audience members will learn the "Art of Critique"-and walk away with the skills necessary for giving and receiving critiquing techniques that are tools for growth.
In part two of Shevailier's Sheveliar's lecture, participants will learn the basis of "Mind-Mapping"-a method of note taking, memorizing, "brain streaming" and goal setting designed to stimulate the mind and increase one's potential.
Instructor Mary Ellen Kalil Shevalier, has thirty years teaching experience as an art educator in the public school system and has been in the forefront of educational reform. She has presented at numerous venues including; ISTE conference, San Diego, Education leadership conference, Lake Placid, NYSATA Keynote, Tarrytown, and numerous regional and state wide professional development venues.
Shevalier is also co-author of: World Class, the Re-Education of America. Her expertise as an art teacher and artist has allowed her to share the "Art of Critique" and "Mind-Mapping" to benefit teachers and students of all content areas and of all ages.
Shevalier's presentation will be the first of seven lectures on the arts, taking place on seven consecutive Thursdays beginning March 7th.
