New exhibit opens at SLC Arts

By Craig Thornton

“Bang, Bang, Bang,” an exhibit of artwork from local university students, will open Friday, April 5 from 6:00-8:00pm at the St. Lawrence County Arts Gallery. Community members are invited to meet artists during the opening reception at the SLC Arts Gallery at 51 Market Street. All of the work in the exhibit explores the theme “This is the way the world ends/ Not with a bang but a whimper,” a line from "The Hollow Men" by T. S. Eliot.

The opening will also include live guitar music by Jon Dufore of, with jazz standards and some pop arrangements.

Visiting the gallery is free and open to the public, and wheelchair accessible. The exhibit will be on display through May 4, 2013 during regular gallery hours: Tuesdays-Fridays 10:00am-6:00pm and Saturdays 10:00am-4:00pm.
