Reading on the River

By Craig Thornton

The JLLA (Jefferson-Lewis Library Association) and its Book Festival Committee will be presenting The Thousand Islands Book Festival  “Reading on the River” in Cape Vincent. The Festival will be geared toward preschool thru middle school children.  This year twelve children’s authors and entertainers will be presenting.  The event will take place at the Cape Vincent Elementary School on Saturday, June 7, 2014. 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.  Each author will do two presentations and three book signing sessions.  Admission will be free, and books will be available to purchase.  With assistance from The New York Library Association, North Country Library System, The Watertown Daily Times, Stewarts’ Shoppes, Poets & Writers, and many other sponsors, the 2nd annual Book Festival in the North Country promises to be bigger and better. Admission is free and children should be accompanied by an adult.  Please mark this on your calendar and plan to attend.  (This event was funded in part by Poets & Writers, Inc. with public funds from the NYS Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the NYS Legislature.)
