> Watertown Lyric Theater proudly presents Monty Python's SPAMALOT.
> Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
> SPAMALOT is a new musical, telling the legendary tale of King Arthur
> and his knights of the Round Table, and featuring a bevy of beautiful
> show girls, knights in shining armor not to mention cows, killer
> rabbits and french people.
> Watertown Lyric Theater has been presenting live musical theater to
> our community for over 50 years and has recently brought to life such
> classics as Oliver! The Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast and Meet Me in St.
> Louis as well as light hearted new musical comedies such as the 25th
> Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
> Along with presenting these fantastic productions, Watertown Lyric
> Theater provides education to young aspiring actors by hosting
> workshops during the summer months recently presenting Guys and Dolls,
> Jr. , Annie kids, Camp Rock the Musical, Cinderella kids and Jungle Book Jr.
> And that's not all. Proceeds from ticket sales along with additional
> forms of fund raising goes to scholarships distributed each year to
> graduating high school seniors and other continuing education students
> pursuing a degree in music, theatrical performance, technical
> production, education or other related fields of study through an essay and application process.
> All of this is done by volunteers from our community through their
> love, passion and dedication to educate our youth and provide an
> outlet for creative individuals to collectively present quality
> theater to our north country. It takes a great deal of time and
> commitment to these goals as well as finances. Constantly battling the
> bottom line, especially in this economy, Watertown Lyric Theater is
> currently seeking financial contributions toward the production costs
> of their upcoming shows and programs. If you would consider donating
> to our program, please feel free to contact us by mail at PO Box 8133,
> Watertown, NY or visit us on the web at www.watertownlyrictheater.org.
