The two big festivals this weekend are the French Festival and The Cheddar Cheese Festival. If you combine them would it be a Roquefort Fesftival? 

The French Festival is both Saturday and Sunday and the delicious Cheddar Cheese festival is Saturday in Adams.
In addition to these two festivals in Jefferson County, there is the popular Potsdam Summer Festival which continues through Saturday.
There are concerts, sales, performances, crafters and artisans throughout the weekend. All activities take place on Market Street, downtown.
Highlights include “Touch a Truck” and a Car Show – you will not be bored from 10am Friday (today) through 11pm Saturday.

Regional Waters: Feature Exhibit at Arts on the Square, 52 Public Square, Watertown NY.
On Friday, July 12, from 5:30pm-8pm, the North Country Arts Council invites the community to enjoy an artist meet & greet and viewing of the current feature exhibit “Regional Waters”. The exhibit features the works of Greg Lago of Clayton NY, Scott Mueller of Coolfishart, Redwood NY and the Plien Air Painters of the Thousand Islands Region. Light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments, entertainment by Classical guitarist Gary Walts. Free and open to the public.
Now for something completely different:
Rug Braiding Workshop in Massena with Helen Condon 1 to 3pm Saturday at Robert Moses State Park Nature Center- 19 Robinson Bay Road.  FREE WORKSHOP all materials provided.
The Jefferson County Fair continues through this weekend as well – as the oldest continuing operating fair in the country at 196 years. As always there is delicious food and a great midway and some of the best entertainment around.

In Sackets Harbor –
There is a garden tour – Saturday , July 13th with Five gardens in and around Sackets, tickets are $10 and available at Gazebo downtown. Meet there at 9 am for addresses and tickets.
There is also a War of 1812 reenactment as part of the living history program at 1pm at the Battlefield site on Saturday.
On Sunday as part of the 29th Annual Concerts on the Waterfront at 3pm – this Sunday July 14 it will be Atlas big party band urban hits from the 1960’s to 1990’s.
