Weekend of March 23-25
The Orchestra of Northern New York
My Many Colored Days
Friday, March 23, 2012
Hosmer Hall at 12 pm
The Orchestra of Northern New York presents a kaleidoscope of music with two color themed pieces: The Purple Palace and My Many Colored Days, with narration by Lonel Woods from the best-selling book by Dr. Seuss. Exploring how each color has its own distinct mood, the orchestra will paint rich colors, diverse and mixed just as an artist would use. Blending storytelling with music and art, this concert will delight the child in all of us!
This concert will also feature Lillia Woolschlager, the 1st place winner of the 2012 James & Katherine Andrews Young Artist Instrumental Competition playing a solo concerto accompanied by the full orchestra.
