Cinema 10 presents Much Ado About Nothing on Monday, September 16 at the Roxy Theater in Potsdam.  Show time is 7:15 PM. This is the first film of the fall 2013 Cinema 10 season.

Joss Whedon's  adaptation of Shakespeare’s play features Amy Acker as Beatrice in a performance described by Boston Globe critic Ty Burr as “a great performance, nervy and fully felt, and it makes you simultaneously smile and tear up whenever Beatrice is onscreen.”

Shot in less than two weeks, mostly at Whedon’s home, the film evokes classic screwball comedies of the Lombard, Hepburn, Grant, and Powell era.  Sheila O’Malley  (, who says it’s “one of the best films of the year,” goes on to say, “Watching Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof [Benedick] battle it out, in words and in a near wrestling match near the end of the film, is a supreme pleasure.” Mr. Whedon previous projects include the movie The Avengers; tv series Firefly and Buffy the Vampire Slayer; and the web series Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.

Much Ado About Nothing
rated PG-13 for sexuality and brief drug use, is in English(iambic pentameter), and runs 109 minutes.

General Admission: $4.50/individual; $35/season tickets
