By Craig Thornton

Phil Neisser and Jacob Hess, co-authors of You're Not as Crazy as I Thought (But You're Still Wrong), will be visiting the St. Lawrence County Arts Council on Tuesday, October 2, from 7:00-8:30pm.

You're Not as Crazy as I Thought (But You're Still Wrong): Conversations between a Die-Hard Liberal and a Devoted Conservative is a thoughtful and entertaining conversation between two researchers from opposing ends of the American political spectrum. Phil Neisser teaches political theory at SUNY Potsdam, where he also serves as the Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences. Jacob Hess is a community psychologist who works as research director at Utah Youth Village, a non-profit for abused children in the Rocky Mountain region.

Community members are invited to meet these two authors who have built a friendship across profound political differences. Neisser and Hess will be signing copies of You're Not as Crazy as I Thought. This event is free and open to the public.

The SLC Arts Council gift shop at 51 Market Street in Potsdam is wheelchair accessible. If you have any questions about this event or any other classes, exhibits, or services provided by the SLC Arts Council, please call 315-265-6860, or visit
