Be On Lookout For Emerald Ash Borer

The emerald ash borer is an invasive insect that's spreading throughout New York and killing ash trees.

The closest infestation is in Ontario, Canada, across the river from Chippewa Bay.

It has not been found in the north country yet, but officials are on the lookout for it.

If people have ash trees, they should be alert for certain symptoms that may indicate the presence of EAB.
