Bike Ride Benefits Fort Drum USO

American Legion Riders of Black River is teaming up with the Fort Drum USO for a benefit motorcycle ride.

The 100-mile ride begins at Caskinette's Throttle Shop in Carthage, takes bikers through Fort Drum and ends at the Black River Legion for dinner and music.

Pre-registration is from 4 to 8 p.m. June 1 at Caskinette's Throttle Shop.

Registration starts at 8 a.m. June 2 at the Caskinette's.

Kickstands go up at 10:30 a.m.

The cost is $15 per bike and $5 per passenger.

The USO also has a couple other upcoming events:

- Military Appreciation Day will be 3 to 7 p.m. June 1 at Showtime Skating at the Northland Plaza in Watertown. There will be pizza and free, unlimited skating.

- The third annual "Touch A Truck" will also be 3 to 7 p.m. June 1, at the Northland Plaza parking lot. Vehicles of all sizes will be on hand for truck lovers of all ages.
