Busy Summer Ahead For Stone Mills Museum

There's a lot going on this summer at the Stone Mills Agricultural Museum on Route 180 in LaFargeville.

There will be a Living History Timeline, Civil War & Frontier Re-enactments at the  Agricultural Museum at Stone Mills, Route 180 in LaFargeville this Saturday and Sunday.

Living history scenarios will be performed by re-enactors as cowboys and soldiers.

Time periods represented are between 1755-1890.

Weapons will be demonstrated on Saturday only.

There will be displays and demonstrations; spinning wool, candle dipping and cooking over a wood fire. Mountain men will be bringing out some frontier games.
 
On Sunday, the museum will hold its 32nd Annual Draft Horse Show.

The show begins at 11a.m.

The public is welcome to attend or participate.

Events will include draft, halter and cart classes.

This event coincides with the Civil War & frontier re-enactments.

On July 8, there will be a strawberry festival and classic car show at the museum from 10 a.m. to 5  p.m.
  
Admission for each event is $5.00 at the gate. Children admitted for free.
