A group of upstate New York musicians is having a fund-raising concert for Watertown's North Side Improvement League.

The concert will be 1 to 9 p.m. September 22 at the organization's building at 633 Mill Street.

Musicians Michel Rainville and Paul Ferguson says the building needs upgrade to meet Red Cross standards for use as an emergency shelter.

They say it needs showers, a generator and a larger kitchen.

The facility has often been used as a shelter during emergencies.

Performances will be by the John Michael Band, Simple Jack, Ferguson and Rogers, The Robin Davis Project, Dragonfly, and many more.

There will be event t-shirts and a silent auction. Food will be available.

Admission is $10. Tickets will be available at the door.
