DEC Plans Earth Day Event

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is holding an Earth Day celebration next week.

It's the 42nd anniversary of Earth Day and the DEC is holding its event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 30 at the Dulles State Office Building on Washington Street in Watertown

It will be educational and fun, with appearances by Woodsy Owl and Smokey the Bear.

There will be demonstrations, games for kids, and booths for several agencies and organizations.
