Funds Available To Make Places More Baby Friendly

A small funding source is available to help communities and organizations become more baby friendly - specifically when it comes to breastfeeding.

The law states that mothers have the right to nurse their babies anywhere where the public is allowed to go and that employers are required to provide a space for nursing mothers to express milk.

Many businesses, organizations and agencies would like to offer a clean, comfortable spot for mother to nurse or pump milk.

Money from the Adopting Healthy Habits Breastfeeding Initiative could help pay for that.

This small award would help groups create policies and practices that support breastfeeding as the norm.
