Hatchery, Shipwrecks Focuses Of Sea Grant Events

The New York Sea Grant is promoting a pair of events.

First, there's an open house at the state Department of Environmental Conservation Salmon River Fish Hatchery.
 
It's from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 28. The hatchery is on County Route 22 in Altmar.
 
Admission is free.
 
Then, there's the Blue Byway Seminar.
 
Maritime history buffs, archaeologists and divers can come and learn the latest about shipwrecks and the weather that causes them.
 
It's from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 5 at SUNY Oswego.
 
The cost is $10 if you pay by October 1 and $15 at the door.
