Tools

It's time for the 2013 Cream Cheese Festival.

Lewis County's 9th annual celebration of cream cheese will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. September 21 in downtown Lowville.

Again, organizers will be trying to build the world's largest cheesecake.

Cathy O'Brien says at this point, the cake is expected to be 5,000 pounds and serve around 21,000 people.

The world's record is 4,703 pounds.

There will be many other things to do, including games and kids' rides.

O'Brien says volunteers are still needed. Please call 315-408-5142 if you want to help.
