Morning Interview July 12, 2010: Project Help Afghanistan

By Kris Rusho

William Seo, president of Project Help Afghanistan, visited the morning show to talk about the group is trying to accomplish in the war torn and poverty stricken country.

According to the website, Project Help Afghanistan is working towards building vocational schools for Afghan widows, to help teach them how to survive and make a living in their nation.

Often Afghan widows are left with nothing, begging on the streets and considered the lowest class in Afghan society, with the average age of Afghan widows being 35 years-old.

The schools will focus on three subjects, including literacy, hygiene and sewing.
