The Watertown City School District is having a literacy night for parents and students to explain its One District, One Book program.

The event  is 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Case Middle School on Washington Street in Watertown.

One District, One Book lets all children in the same grade levels read the same book at the same time. Students in kindergarten through fourth grade will read "The World According To Humphrey."

Fifth and sixth graders will read "My Side of the Mountain," held in the above photo by Mary-Margaret Zehr, the district's assistant superintendent for instruction.
