SPCA: 'Discount' Helped Reduce Cat Population

Tools

The Jefferson County SPCA's recent discount on adoption fees helped reduce the shelter's cat population.

Unfortunately, the little guy shown above came to the shelter too late to benefit from that program.

The as-yet-unnamed kitten was taken to the shelter with his sister. He will be ready for adoption after his neutering operation on Tuesday.

The SPCA will benefit from this year's annual Artists On The Point event.

It's from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 26 at the Rustic Golf Course on the Middle Road on Pillar Point.

Click on the picture to learn more about it from SPCA executive director Doug Marlow and event organizer Ron McGregor.

For more information on adopting an animal, volunteering or becoming a member, call the shelter at 315-782-3260. You can also visit www.jeffersoncountyspca.org or the SPCA's Facebook page.
