Silent Films Help Kids in Haiti Go To School

The United Community Church in Carthage is showing a pair of silent films to help children in Haiti get an education.

It's called "An Evening of Classic Comedies" and will benefit Haiti's Mitspa School.

Charlie Chaplin in "The Pilgrim" and Buster Keaton in "The Goat" will be featured starting at 7 p.m. on May 3 at the Carthage High School auditorium.

A live organist will accompany the films.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students and $20 for families.
