TV Dinner: Pork Chops Alla PortofinoChef Chris Manning combines pork and red wine to create a Spanish dish. It's called pork chops alla Portofino and he serves it over rice. Click on the picture to see how it goes together. The recipe is below. Port Chops Alla Portofino 4 4-ounce center-cut pork chops Mix together the flour, cheese, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Dredge the pork chops in the flour mixture. Heat the oil and butter in a 14-inch saute pan on medium-high heat. Saute the chops for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until they're golden in color and cooked through. Remove meat to a serving platter. Add the onions, peppers and mushrooms to the pan and cook until onions begin to wilt. Add the garlic, tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Cook for one minute, then add the wine. Cook until wine is reduced by half, then add the gravy. Stir sauce to thicken and spoon over the chops. |
