With warm weather around the corner, it's almost grilling season.
Chef Chris Manning has a recipe perfect for that grilled steak.
2 12-ounce steaks
1 small onion, sliced
1 small green bell pepper, diced
4 small mushrooms, sliced
4 pepperocinis, sliced thin
1/2 cup Marsala wine
1/4 cup brown gravy
Scallions, finely minced
Cook the steaks to desired temperature and season with salt and pepper. Place on serving platter.
Add the next four ingredients to a 14-inch saute pan on medium-high heat. Cook until onions begin to wilt.
Add the wine and simmer for 2 or 3 minutes. Add the broth and gravy. Simmer until sauce begins to thicken, about 4 minutes. Spoon sauce over steaks and garnish with scallions.
