The Morning Interview: 4th Of July In The Park

Tools

The annual 4th of July concert at Thompson Park in Watertown is different this year in a couple of ways.

For one, the concert is on the 4th, which is a Thursday. Most years, the concert falls on a day close the 4th, but not the holiday itself.

Second, the headliner this year is the venerable Orchestra of Northern New York, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. In years past, the Syracuse Symphony played the top spot.

This year's show starts with a 6 p.m. performance by an Army Reserve rock band. The main event is at 8 p.m. As always, it's free.

Ken Andrews from the Orchestra of Northern New York and Mike Miller from the North Country Arts Council joined Jeff Cole Thursday on 7 News This Morning to talk about this year's show.
