Two Local Students Head To Legion's Boys' State CompetitionTwo local students are heading to the 2012 American Legion of New York Boys' State competition. John Pettit a junior at Watertown High School and Aaron Gallagher, a junior at Carthage High, will be heading to SUNY Morrisville later this week. There, they'll work with other participants to learn how to set up a mock government. They say is helps learn about how politics works. Both are sponsored by the Carthage American Legion.
