South Jefferson running back A.J. Chartrand is off to a big year.

Chartrand had 221 yards on 27 carries and three touchdowns last week as the Spartans defeated Skaneateles.

"He's a very special running back," says his coach, John Arcaro. "He's got all the tools." 

A.J. is more modest: "It was mostly the linemewn who did the job."

Chartrand is this week's McDonald's - 7 News Athlete of the Week.
