Farmers Markets Are Great Places To Shop

There are close to 40 farmers markets in Jefferson County alone.

Mary Mallette of Cornell Cooperative Extension says they're a good place to get fresh produce because you know where your food's coming from, no packaging and short travel times mean its environmentally friendly, and its often less expensive than at a grocery store.
