JRC Holds 2nd Public Membership Drive

Jefferson Rehabilitation Center is facing a 6 percent cut in Medicaid payments this year.

 
Executive Director Howard Ganter says that translates to over $1 million. That's on top of $1.5 million in cuts two years ago.
 
The cuts could mean a "significant reduction in services" and, possibly, layoffs.
 
Ganter says members are needed to help the organization advocate for better financing.
 
In its first public membership drive last year, members doubled from 300 to 600.
 
And now, JRC is holding another membership drive.
