Morning Checkup: Health Information Exchange

Patients throughout the region are being asked to sign consent forms to allow their medical records to be shared with all their health care providers through a new program called Health Connections.

Corey Zeigler of the Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization and Karen Romano of the North Country Health Information Exchange explain what the program is and why patients can be sure their information will remain confidential.
