Morning Checkup: SMC Sponsors Blood Drives

Summertime blood supplies are low, even though the need remains high.

Tony Marra, director of laboratory services at Samaritan Medical Center, says the American Red Cross and Samaritan have scheduled extra blood drives to make up for it.

Here are the blood drives:

- August 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the fourth floor conference room at Samaritan.

- August 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Salmon Run Mall

- August 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fairgrounds YMCA
