Morning Checkup: Spinal Column Stimulation Pain Management

Samaritan Medical Center is having a free presentation on pain management.

Dr. Ivan Montalvo, director of pain management at Samaritan, says the presentation focuses on the benefits of spinal column stimulation.

It's from 5 to 6 p.m. on February 28 at Samaritan's Pain Management Center.

I have had a Medtronics spinal cord stimulater for 3 years now and I don't know how i did without it. It fools the brain into accepting an artificial signal and not registering the pain. I have a patient programmer to be able to adjust it as i need more or less stimulation. It is permanetly implanted and the battery gets replaced in 4 years.
